About Us

W.Pocock & Sons Ltd was established in 1965. The business was started by W.Pocock who employed just a handful of workers in what soon was to become a growing and successful business. Today W.Pocock & Sons Ltd is very much a family business, based in Reading working in the surrounding areas, with most of its workers being part of the Pocock family. Over the years, W.Pocock & Sons Ltd have become reputable builders in the Reading area, being recognised for their reliability, quality of work and full commitment to each and every project.

The Workforce

Predominantly family members, W.Pocock & Sons Ltd have an excellent, workforce, each having valuable sets of skills in order to ensure the highest level of work is carried out, whatever the project ahead.

The workforce acquire a range of different qualifications, ranging from brick laying qualifications to excavating machinery licences. W.Pocock & Sons Ltd is proud of it's hard working, trained workforce and gives them on going support in training and qualifications.

W.Pocock & Sons Ltd use compliant and professional sub-contractors which include, electricians, plasterers and plumbers. We have excellent relationships with all of our sub-contractors as they have all been working along side W.Pocock & Sons Ltd for many years.

Standards

We are members of the FMB - The largest trade association in the UK building industry. The FMB is a trade association established over 60 years ago to protect the interests of small and medium-sized building and clients.

We are also a member of NHBC, which is the National House-Building Council - the standard setting body and leading warranty and insurance provider for new and newly converted homes in the UK.
